iPhone X and XS Display Specs
The iPhone X (2017) and iPhone XS (2018) share the same 5.8-inch Super Retina OLED display: 2436 × 1125 pixels at 458 PPI. Because the panel is identical, one calibration works for both models. At 458 PPI each pixel is about 0.055 mm wide, which is fine enough for millimeter-level readings.
The iPhone 11 Pro also uses a 5.8-inch, 458 PPI display, and you can use its dedicated iPhone 11 Pro ruler. The larger iPhone XS Max (6.5-inch) and the iPhone XR (6.1-inch, 326 PPI) have different screens, so this ruler will not be accurate on them — iPhone XR owners should use the iPhone XR ruler.
In portrait orientation the ruler runs down the right edge of the page, so you can measure roughly 10–12 cm (about 4–4.7 inches) in one view, depending on how much space Safari's toolbars take up. For longer items, mark the endpoint and measure in sections.
